More than 270 000 people suffer a heart attack every year. 12 young people die of a sudden cardiac arrest each week.

Your help could be vital – but do you know what to do?

Spending 2 hours of your life will give you the skills to try and save another person’s life. It could be a family member or someone you know.

Skills you will learn include:

·        General care of a casualty including the procedure for obtaining help

·        Dealing with an unconscious person

·        Giving rescue breaths

·        Performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

·        Dealing with choking

·        Dealing with serious bleeding

·        Dealing with a suspected heart attack casualty

·        Demonstration on the use of a Defibrillator

National Pool Lifeguard Qualification

National Pool Lifeguard Qualification

The Park Leisure Centre are holding a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.

The course will be held over the Easter Holidays 2015.

Course Dates: Saturday 28th March to Thursday 2nd April from 9.00am to 6:00pm each day

Exam Date: Thursday 2nd April 2015

Cost: £250 which covers training assessments and course materials.

Can be paid with £50 deposit and rest in instalments (speak to Park Leisure Centre for details).

The RLSS UK NPLQ is not just a qualification it can be a stepping stone into a career within the leisure industry. 

Places are limited and on a first come first served basis.
