‘Chinese Coins’ a talk by Qin Cao

Wednesday 16th May at the Dock Museum, Barrow in Furness.

 

Following the fascinating discovery of a cache of Chinese coins in Furness, Qin Cao gives an illuminating talk on Chinese coins and the Furness hoard (yes, another hoard has been found!).

 

Qin Cao is a Trainee Curator of Asian Coins, and part of the British Museum Future Curators Traineeship programme. She was based at the Department of Coins and Medals, British Museum, from April to October 2011. Since November 2011, she has been working with the Asian numismatic collections at Manchester Museum. Qin’s background is in Chinese archaeology, and her main interest is Chinese coins and their collectors.
