TEMPORARY HOUSING ASSISTANT - Fixed
Term Contract to September 2016
Salary Scale: 2-3 (from £15,207 per
annum)
An opportunity has arisen for a
full-time Housing Assistant working in the Operations Team within Barrow
Borough Council’s Housing Service, contracted to September 2016. The role
will be to support the team by being the first point of contact for customer
enquiries to ensure our customers are dealt with professionally and
effectively, and to provide clerical support.
The successful applicant will be
customer-focused, self-motivated and a hard working team player, possessing
excellent interpersonal skills to provide a first class service to our
customers face-to-face and by phone.
You must have previously worked in a
customer-centred environment providing a front-line service in the housing
sector or other relevant field and be able to demonstrate effective IT and
keyboard skills, coupled with the ability to prioritise a demanding workload
effectively.
The successful candidate will be
automatically enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme and will be
required to obtain a Basic Disclosure from Disclosure Scotland.
