Inspector Dave Bosson from Central, Hindpool and Barrow Island Neighbourhood Policing Team said "Barrow carnival went very well from a police point of view. There were no reported incidents or problems and the new route worked out fine. The licencees of the town supported the no-drinking on the streets policy and made for a family event with no alcohol interference which was very, very positive. The town's police officers, PCSO's from all areas and Neighbourhood Wardens all found the day very enjoyable."
