Cumbria Constabulary's Area Commander for the South of the county, Cheif Superintendent Paul Kennedy (centre), has acknowledged the good work taking place in the Central and Hindpool area. Both Sergeant Paul Madden (Neighbourhood Policing team; right of photo) and Steve Robson (Neighbourhood Manager; left) received a certificate of merit from Mr Kennedy in recognition of their dedicated work in the development of neighbourhood management and neighbourhood policing.
Sergeant Madden was recognised for his dedication in progressing neighbourhood policing and his forward thinking approach to embedding Police Community Support Officers in the community. The Central and Hindpool Neighbourhood Management Team were recognised by the senior police officer as a model of best practice.
Steve Robson said "It's a real honour to have the work of the partnership recognised and I'm really pleased Paul's contribution has been acknowledged too. The whole point of Neighbourhood Management is that's it's about people from different agencies working as a team and I think we've been recognised for doing that well, but there's always more to learn and we'll continue trying to improve."
"As far as I'm concerned the award is for the whole team, that includes our office staff, Neighbourhood Wardens, Police Community Support Officers and Fire Service colleagues who've worked so closely with us over this last three years. Even more than that we have a very supportive Board and some excellent relationships with partners."
Congratulations it was very much deserved. You have made a real difference in the community. Well done, long may it continue.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words. It's all been a team effort and that includes everyone who's been involved with the project.
