Barrow’s Wildside – FREE Springwatch events in June

Moth Trapping on Urban Sites
Friday 22 June 2012 10–12noon.
Tonight is national Moth Night with a focus on Brownfield and post-industrial sites. This is a great opportunity to discover more about what moths are present in our local towns. This is a free event, run with the help of volunteers from the Butterfly Conservation.

The Wildlife of North Walney National Nature Reserve

Join us for a guided walk and discover the wildlife of one of the best coastal nature reserves in Cumbria. Meet at West Shore/Earnse Bay car park GR: SD 171 698.

Making it wild at Ormsgill Quarry

Come along a lend a hand clearing footpaths, mending fences and clearing litter whilst looking at the wildlife at Ormsgill Quarry. Meet How Tun Wood car park on Cliff Lane GR: SD 203 718.

North Walney Beach Clean
Sat 30 June 10-12noon
Chance to do your bit and help turn the tide on the ugly and harmful litter found on the beach at North Walney. All equipment provided. Meet at West Shore/Earnse Bay car park GR: SD 171 698.
